Press Release dated August 18, 2008

Around the world in 16 colours
A German Internet project connects people from more than 150 countries based on their personalities

Herxheim, Germany August 18, 2008 - There are 6809 different languages, 195 different countries and almost countless different cultures and religions on this planet. They all separate us from each other. And yet today it‘s so easy to get in touch with others using the internet. But do we have something in common with people living thousands of kilometers away? Yes, we do: our personalities! That‘s how psychologist Felicitas Heyne answered this question. She therefore drafted a personality test for the internet which already connects more than 500.000 people in over 150 countries worldwide. Her corresponding internet project is called iPersonic (http://www.ipersonic.com).

The result of three years of research is a colour-coded system of 16 personality types, basing on psychoanalysis, easy to understand yet very meaningful and plausible. Similar colour symbols stand for similar personality types. Even in larger social networks one can now tell at first sight who is more likely to harmonize. So it‘s a no-brainer to find a perfect match for an interesting conversation or even a new friend. An increasing number of people uses this simple and playful method to mingle with others, not only on leading social networks like Facebook and MySpace, but also on iPersonic.com: On this multilingual platform one can now meet people from all over the world.

„Alikeness in important aspects of the personality not only facilitates the communication between two persons“, says Felicitas Heyne. „Similar personality types often also share common interests and have more fun together. Once you‘ve identified your personality type on iPersonic, you can get in touch with other representatives of this type worldwide. This creates a unique ambiance of familiarity among people living thousands of kilometers apart in completely different cultures. Their common personality types bridge any divide between them almost instantly.“

The phenomenon iPersonic has seized the whole world within a few months. Thanks to word of mouth over 500.000 people took the test in the meantime. More than 100.000 of them posted the test result on their blogs or internet websites. iPersonic is especially popular in Southeast Asia and South America at the moment. The iPersonic test is currently available in English, Spanish and German; other languages are to follow shortly in order to encourage as many people as possible to join in breaking down barriers and closing ranks worldwide.
